Alternative Study and Work Spaces

While the library is closed for modernization, the Power Plant will have four reservable study rooms, but overall space will be very limited for general, drop-in use.

For this important general study and gathering space, other departments on campus are excited to welcome more students to their spaces.

Below is a list of open spaces around campus.

  • Moraga branch, 1500 St. Mary's Road (our neighbor, just .5 miles from campus)
  • Orinda branch, 26 Orinda Way (.5 mi northeast of BART station)
  • Lafayette branch, 3491 Mt. Diablo Boulevard (across from the Plaza Center / Whole Foods)

As SMC students, you are eligible for a county library card and have access to all of their collections online and in print, as well as Link+ material borrowing.
