How do I make my search results more relevant?
Answered By: Gina Kessler Lee

Are you getting...

Too many irrelevant results? Too few results?
Try different keywords Make sure your search terms are spelled correctly
Put quotes around phrases (e.g., "supply chains") Make sure you only have quotes around phrases
Add more concepts with AND Make sure everything is spelled correctly, and you only have quotes around phrases
Make sure your topic is narrow enough Use fewer concepts connected by AND, and more synonyms connected by OR
Limit to a particular format (scholarly articles, news, books) Use * to find all variants of a word
Narrow your date range
Try Google or Google Scholar (more flexible searches) to get ideas for more keywords
Search by subject, or by title, instead of as keywords If you find a good source, see what sources it uses, and find those
