Library spaces
- The Library is open to all (see library hours)
- You can talk quietly and eat snacks in most library spaces
- There is a Silent Study Zone on the ground floor
- Book a study room to meet with a group, hop on a Zoom, or study without distractions
- Our sensory room features seating, lighting, and accessories for neurodiverse students
Things you can borrow from the Library
- Your SMC ID card is your library card
- Use the Library Search box on the homepage to see what books, e-books, videos, and other stuff you can get from the Library
- Textbooks (2-hour checkout)
- Laptops
- Headphones
- Whiteboard markers
- Maker boxes with scissors, glue, etc.

- Research Guides: Find databases and other sources important for your major
- Get to know the Subject Librarian for your major
- You can also get drop-in help at the reference desk in the Library or online
