After you have created this new account, you will receive an email to set a password. (NOTE: if you receive an error message or a blank screen, you were still likely successful in creating an account. Chronicle of Higher Education
To create an account:

- Click on Sign In at the very top right of the screen.
- Click the Sign Up link.
- Create your account using your SMC email address.
You should now see "Site License Access Provided by Saint Mary's College of California" in the upper left and you are now able to read any article in its entirety. Each time you return to the Chronicle of Higher Education website, sign in with the login you created.
